News: The official website of singer and songwriter Sayuri announced that she passed away at the age of 28 due to her chronic illness on Friday,September 20th.
According to her husband Amaarashi, she was working as a freelancer during her lifetime, fan letters and other correspondence addressed to her were received at the office of the live production company. However, in light of these circumstances, they kindly ask fans to refrain from sending further messages of condolences.
In July 2024, the singer announced that she would be on an indefinite hiatus due to dysphonia, a condition that causes her vocal cords to involuntary sounds due to increased muscle tension in the voice box. According to the singer, she is having trouble with her voice finding it difficult to produce her sound and she is heading to the doctor for her check-up. Her voice is shaking and her muscles move against her will and she finds it difficult to sing.
She added that she has used her voice to express herself and interact with the world. She felt like she had been cut off from various things and experiences, so she was frustrated. She is also positive about her recovery. She is currently undergoing rehabilitation with the help of a speech therapist and a voice trainer. She knows that it will take some time before she can resume singing.

Sayuri was born in Fukuoka, Fukuoka prefecture on June 7th, 1996. When she was in 6th grade, she was impressed by the fact that despite being idols such as Kanjani Eight. She formed a band and her guitar as her hobby. She was inspired to take her guitar as a hobby and when she was in the 2nd year of junior high school, she began composing music and aspiring for her lyrics and songwriting.
She won the Yamaha Music's Music Revolution for the Grand Prix award and the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology Award in 2012 where she became the youngest contestant at the age of 15 before she became an indie artist. She performs anisongs such as "Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace", "Erased", "Scum's Wish", "Fate/Extra: Last Encore", "My Hero Academia", "Edens Zero", and "Lycoris Recoil" because she has a powerful voice that naturally trembles, and many of her songs have shadowy lyrics.
